My name is Cynthia and I am the designer and owner of Cyn Tailors where custom garments and alterations are created garments for all occasions.

A woman is looking inside a yellow bag, inspecting its contents, in what appears to be a storage room or office.

I grew up looking at garments from fashion shows that my legendary self taught

great-grandmother created. They passed their gifts down to me and, today I have the ability to sew for a living.

I learned to sew by studying garments and understanding their construction, pattern, stitches, and material.

Graduating from The Fashion Institute of Technology for Merchandising, Management and Entrepreneurship gave the framework for my business.

After graduation I went back to FIT to get my certificate in Product Development and Sustainability.

At the studio, I prioritize recycling all scraps with FABSCRAP in Brooklyn.

I am so proud to have the ability to create for people and have the unique opportunity to achieve portraiture through tailoring.
